Coming Together on Behalf of the Orphan
[Alliance Newsletter, Feb 2009] I remember vividly the cold days in March 2006 in Little Rock, Arkansas.  We had joined with a group of about 90 people from across the country to talk about how we – churches, adoption agencies and international orphan care organizations and advocates – could come together to love and serve orphans.

Orphans Deserve Better Campaign Echoes
[Alliance Newsletter, July 2009] Congratulations to all who joined in the Alliance's Orphans Deserve Better campaign.  With their united voice, Alliance members set this modest-sized grassroots campaign echoing across the country and beyond.  Coverage has included an expansive number of online articles and newspaper pieces, from the New York Time Magazine, to Town Hall, blog posts, radio interviews and television coverage.  Together, participants in the campaign have helped ensure that the distorted impressions about orphans and adoption fed by the film are not absorbed by the public without being challenged.  Warner Bros' has also indicated it may honor a key request of the campaign by adding content favorable to adoption and orphans to its DVD release.  Most importantly, the campaign has seized an opportunity to help more Americans see the great needs of orphans and what we can do in response.

[W. Scott Brown | Associated Press, May 2007] DENVER - Prominent evangelical Christians are urging churchgoers to strongly consider adoption or foster care, not just out of kindness or biblical calling but also to answer criticism that their movement, while condemning abortion and same-sex adoption, doesn't do enough for children without parents.
